Markstone Landscaping, a full-service landscaping company serving the GTA, seeks a Working Hardscape Supervisor in Burlington, ON. You will lead a landscape construction crew, balance hands-on work with supervision, and ensure project quality and safety on-site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in landscape construction and crew leadership.
• Strong knowledge of hardscaping, grading, planting, and site construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to operate heavy and light equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work outdoors and stay hands-on in demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a landscape construction crew on a daily basis.
• Assign and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate execution.
• Actively participate in construction work alongside the crew, not just from the sidelines.
• Train, mentor, and support the development of crew members.
• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grading/hardscape drawings.
• Oversee landscape construction work including hardscaping, grading, planting, and related site work.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate daily crew schedules and job sequencing on-site.
• Track material and equipment needs and communicate shortages.
• Ensure tools and equipment are used and maintained properly.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety talks.
• Report progress, delays, and site conditions to the Operations Manager.
