Job summary

Hutten Land & Shore in Owen Sound, ON is seeking a Lead Hand – Landscape Construction to support the Crew Leader on daily projects. This hands-on role involves turning design drawings into finished landscape installations while guiding a 2–3 person crew on site.

You will help manage safety, quality, and productivity, operate tools and heavy equipment, and contribute to Hutten standards. This is outdoor, seasonal work with opportunities to grow leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape construction and crew supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to operate heavy equipment and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Leader in supervising a 2–3 person crew on daily work activities.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity on site.
• Operate equipment and maintain safe, organized job sites.
• Read and interpret landscape drawings and layouts.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team.
