Harbour Hopper Tour Guide - Mandarin and/or Cantonese Speaking

We're currently hiring a Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking Tour Guide to lead Harbour Hopper tours for Chinese-speaking visitors. This is a very part-time, seasonal position with specific dates and times already largely confirmed. Perfect for someone looking to share Halifax's charm without the commitment of a full-time schedule.

There may also be opportunities to train in our English-language Harbour Hopper tours if you're fluent, or to support our smaller-scale harbour-based programs, depending on interest and availability.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver live, engaging commentary in Mandarin or Cantonese to groups of visitors on our iconic Harbour Hopper tour (land and sea).
• Share stories about Halifax's history, culture, and hidden gems with warmth, humour, and authenticity.
• Participate in safety drills and team training to ensure every tour runs smoothly.
• Help guests feel welcome, informed, and excited to explore Halifax.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong verbal communication in Mandarin or Cantonese (additional English fluency is an asset).
• A natural performer or storyteller who can connect with diverse groups.
• Enthusiastic about Halifax's culture, landmarks, and history.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather (this is a 100% outdoor role!).
• Punctual, reliable, and open to working collaboratively with our dynamic team.

Schedule & Commitment:

• Part-time, fixed schedule-dates are already available and confirmed for most of the season.
• Shifts will be planned in advance to support cruise ship arrivals and pre-booked Chinese-speaking tours.
• Additional hours may be available if you're fluent in English or interested in our Harbour tour programs.
