Job summary

Johnson Controls’ Apprentice Plumber (3rd Year) assists Journeyman Plumbers in installation, maintenance, and repairs within a large manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration with the production team.

The candidate is registered as an Alberta apprentice, enrolled in a recognized trade school, and able to work under supervision or independently in a busy setting. Electrical maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered apprentice in Alberta; enrolled in a recognized trade school.
• Ability to work under supervision of journeyman plumbers in a team or independently.
• Experience with routine electrical maintenance is an asset.
• Able to communicate effectively, under pressure, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman Plumbers in installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow safety policies and adhere to Alberta OHS Act, Regulations, and Code.
• Set priorities on work assignments and meet deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Braze/solder copper pipe and work with PVC piping as needed.
• Support in other duties as required.
