Job summary

Thales Canada Inc. Defence and Security seeks a Ship Maintenance Team Lead to oversee waterfront maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant, on-time execution. You will coordinate with the Ship Maintenance Team Manager and FER, lead teams on ships, jetties, and Thales trailers, and drive continuous improvements in operations.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and hands-on oversight of maintenance activities, with a 24/7 on-call rotated demand and hybrid work in Halifax, NS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year technical program diploma in marine/technical field or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of technical professional work experience in marine sector in last 15 years.
• Experience supervising teams in maintenance activities.
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of federal/provincial safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day waterfront maintenance execution during designated periods.
• Coordinate withFER and internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to Ship's Staff and other Thales personnel.
• Supervise Thales personnel and subcontractors within delegated authority.
• Prepare and review project reports and documentation.
