Job Location: 3011 Clarence Ave S #100, Saskatoon, SK S7T 0B4

Salary: $17.00- $19.00 / Hour for 32-40 Hours / Week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Some High School required

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, efficient interpersonal skills, client focus, dependability.

Tasks:

1. Advise clients on beauty care treatments.
2. Analyze hair and scalp condition.
3. Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences.
4. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
5. Shampoo customers’ hair.
6. Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
7. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair.
8. Apply hair extensions.
9. Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
10. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair.
11. Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features and preferences.

Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Roller setting.

Work Setting: Hairstyling salon; urban area.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environments; Repetitive tasks; Attention to detail; Standing for extended periods; Risks of slip and fall injuries; Use of electrical tools; Use of sharp objects; Use of chemical products.
