Job summary

Kibbi in Vancouver is seeking a hairstylist to analyze hair and scalp, cut and trim hair, provide custom treatments, shampoo, color applications, extensions, wig care, and styling to client specifications. Strong communication in English is required for high client satisfaction.

The role includes advising on styles suited to each client’s features and supervising apprentices in a busy salon environment. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• English as working language.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
• Shampoo customers' hair
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Apply hair extensions
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences
• Supervise other artists or apprentices
