Job summary

First Choice Haircutters in Ontario (Val Caron) is seeking a professional hairstylist to cut, color and style hair while delivering excellent client service on site at the salon. The role involves performing treatments, color work, and beard grooming, with a focus on personalized styling and client satisfaction.

The candidate should hold a Hairstylist Licence or equivalent certification, with relevant on-site salon experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hairstylist Licence is required/preferred.
• Trade certificate or diploma in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a salon setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Book appointments for clients.
• Cut and trim hair per client instructions.
• Shampoo clients' hair.
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
• Provide hair treatments such as waving, straightening and tinting.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses for color work.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair.
• Suggest hairstyles matching client features and preferences.
• Perform receptionist duties.
