Qualifications:

Education: Required - High school diploma or GED; Preferred - Associates Degree or Certification in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field.

Experience: Required - 3 years in a business office; Preferred - 5-7 years in HR or administrative roles.

Scope & Purpose:

The role supports the Divisional Director of HR in managing HR and payroll duties, enabling the director to focus on strategic priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in computer use, office machines, and standard office procedures.
  • Typing speed of 40 wpm, familiar with MS Office, and basic math skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and public speaking skills.

Essential Duties:

  1. Assist with communications, correspondence, and documentation.
  2. Support special projects and provide HR support.
  3. Maintain knowledge of HR policies and legal requirements.
  4. Handle personnel documents, background checks, and employment verifications.
  5. Manage employee performance review data and employment status changes.
  6. Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and employee inquiries.
  7. Support training, reception duties, and departmental confidentiality.
  8. Participate in department activities and adhere to work schedules and physical requirements.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Includes typical office activities, with ability to travel as needed. Work environment is predominantly office-based and may involve some travel and physical activity.

Supervisor: Director of Human Resources

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred. 3 years of business office experience required; 5-7 years in HR preferred.
