Job summary

Manulife Financial in Toronto is seeking an Internal Wholesaler to promote Wealth Management solutions to Advisors and provide access to Portfolio Managers and Strategists, focusing on estate planning and wealth transfer benefits of Manulife segregated funds and annuities.

You will align advisors’ needs with our technology, product and service solutions, delivering proactive sales and business-building ideas.

Qualifications

  • College or University degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in the financial services industry, ideally with familiarity in advisor practice management.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management products (Segregated Funds & Annuities) and understanding of global financial markets is an asset.
  • Successful completion of industry-related courses such as CSC, IFIC, CFP (or working towards completion of industry-related courses) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve product-specific sales targets within the wholesaler’s specific region.
  • Identify and pursue new relationships with Advisors.
  • Provide new insights to help advisors grow their business with Manulife.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and negotiate through consultation and active listening skills.
  • Effective presentation skills and delivery to engage with different audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and time management skills to schedule time to work on the business, as well as in the business.
  • Execution of a repeatable and measurable sales process.
  • Knowledgeable on the current industry landscape and competitors with an ability to be innovative in sales strategies, marketing concepts and product applications.
  • Willingness to become an expert in Wealth Management solutions and strategies through leadership and a strong sense of self awareness.
  • Assess customer-related information to help analyze and identify potential sales opportunities for advisors' customers.

Job description

As the Internal Wholesaler, you will be responsible for promoting a full range of Wealth Management solutions to Advisors and industry-leading access to Portfolio Managers and Strategists, focusing on the estate planning and wealth transfer benefits of Manulife segregated funds and annuities. With a solid understanding of the Advisors’ business, you will be at the forefront of aligning their needs with our innovative technology, product and service solutions, providing proactive sales and business building ideas. Working with an External Wholesaler and Territory Coordinator, you will be accountable for sales growth and relationship management within a defined region.

The compensation for this role includes salary and sales incentives and is expected to be between $100,000.00 CAD - $140,000.00 CAD

Employees participate in sales incentive programs and earn incentive compensation based on role-specific criteria. Actual compensation will vary depending on individual performance, sales results, local market conditions as well as relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
