Key Accountabilities:

  • Own the Operations financial KPI reporting, expense tracking, and Unit Costing, for monthly business reviews and material preparation for executive leadership team.
  • Collaborate closely with Expense and Finance partners on active forecasting of initiative budgets through each budget cycle, scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances
  • Partner closely with Operations leaders to capture and track progress of macro initiative savings towards, ensuring alignment with margin and digital customer leadership financial objectives
  • Develop and capture appropriate narration for finance-driven presentations to communicate key messages and metrics for GWAM Operations
  • Work across different teams and with all levels of management to form relationships and business knowledge
  • Provide analytical support and oversee project execution for strategic initiatives as needed
  • Operations and the larger Manulife Operations organization
  • Oversee and propose additional methods to improve against highly visible strategic KPI’s and objectives
  • M anage complexity across a range of issues—prioritize and manage competing initiatives; challenge the status quo and suggest alternative ways of conducting operations
  • Attract, develop, engage, coach, and retain diverse leadership and talent

Qualifications

  • Educational qualification in Finance/Accounting or Economics major preferred
  • Professional designation is an asset (e.g MBA, CPA, CFA)
  • At least 5 years of related business experience gained from financial institutions, corporate development, strategic consulting, investment operations, project management or similar experience
  • Self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to engage with different levels of leadership and effectively influence partners
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PPT
  • Resilient delivery mind-set with a strong execution focus

Salary range is expected to be between

$105,750.00 CAD - $190,350.00 CAD
