Job description

Pay Range : $18.50 - $24.00

Summary :

Reporting to the Hardlines Group Sales Manager, a Gun Counter Outfitter requires the ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to provincial, federal, and company firearm regulations. They are responsible for providing a legendary customer service experience by greeting and assisting customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions.

Responsibilities :

1. Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customer needs, and recommending products accordingly.
2. Knowledge of various makes and models of firearms and scopes, and an understanding of hunting and related activities.
3. Promote Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's programs, including in-store surveys and in-store pick-up.
4. Maintain visual presentation standards through store upkeep, including signage, merchandise recovery, front-facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming the sales floor as needed.
5. Respond to and handle customer issues using good judgment and logic within the job scope.
6. Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by staying informed about trends and emerging technologies related to outdoor lifestyles.
7. Assist in other store areas as needed based on business requirements.

Qualifications :

• One or more years of experience in sales or service environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Possession of both Restricted and Non-Restricted Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licenses required.
• Ability to evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed expectations.
• Good judgment and logical decision-making skills.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle preferred.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's products is an asset.
