Summary:

Reporting to the Hardlines Group Sales Manager, the Gun Counter Outfitter must safely handle firearms and comply with provincial, federal, and company regulations. They are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting in merchandise selection, and guiding buying decisions.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs, recommending products, and assisting in making purchasing decisions.
2. Maintain knowledge of various firearms, scopes, and hunting-related concepts and practices.
3. Promote Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s programs such as in-store surveys and pick-up services.
4. Ensure visual standards are maintained through signage, merchandising, restocking, and cleaning.
5. Handle customer inquiries and issues with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
6. Stay informed about outdoor lifestyle trends and emerging technologies.
7. Assist in other store areas as needed based on business demands.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: One or more years of sales or service experience.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License.
• Ability to evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to exceed expectations.
• Good judgment and logical decision-making skills.
• Experience in outdoor activities or related fields is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s products is a plus.
