As a Drill Bits Application Engineer, you will ensure flawless execution, on-time delivery, and contract adherence. You will maximize Baker Hughes' short and long-term revenue and profit opportunities. You will coordinate job activities to ensure execution aligns with customer expectations and contract terms.

Responsibilities include:
  • Protecting the health and safety of our personnel and the environment.
  • Conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, applicable processes, and cultural pillars.
  • Understanding and capitalizing on assigned contracts/quotes.
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients during job preparation, execution, and closeout.
  • Scheduling and dispatching resources according to job requirements.
  • Growing revenue through detailed applications analysis and product development.
  • Creating custom designs, developing new product pipelines, and optimizing drilling programs based on multi-well analyses to reduce non-productive time (NPT).
  • Recommending operating parameters to increase drilling efficiency.
  • Optimizing hydraulics and fine-tuning drill bit designs for steerability and efficiency to increase penetration rates.
  • Responding promptly to customer complaints and incidents to ensure business continuity.
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have a relevant Bachelor's degree and several years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate significant experience with drill bits and directional drilling.
  • Be capable of presenting project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
