Job summary

Resound School of Music Ltd. in West Vancouver is seeking passionate guitar teachers to provide in-home lessons to students of all ages. Successful instructors will commute to students' homes for 30 to 60 minute sessions, covering rhythm, melody, strumming, and improvisation.

We value clear communication, lesson planning, and the ability to adapt to individual goals. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required, and all instructors must pass an RCMP background check.

Qualifications

• High level of proficiency on the guitar (acoustic & electric).
• Versatile in styles including pop, folk, rock, blues, jazz.
• Ability to teach other stringed instruments is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• No criminal background; RCMP background check required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Travel to students' homes to teach private guitar lessons (30–60 minutes).
• Prepare lesson plans tailored to each student based on goals and interests.
• Cover topics including rhythm, melody, strumming and improvisation.

Resound School of Music is looking for guitar teachers for in-home music lessons inWest Vancouver. We are seeking passionate instructors with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with students of all ages and backgrounds!Guitar teachers are responsible for commuting to students' homes to teach private guitar lessons, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes in length. Lessons will cover a wide range of topics, including rhythm and melody playing, strumming and picking techniques, improvisation, and more. Teachers are expected to prepare lesson plans for each student based on their unique goals and interests to keep them engaged and motivated to play the guitar.

• A high level of proficiency on the guitar - acoustic and electric
• Versatile in a variety of different styles, including pop, folk, rock, blues, jazz, etc.
• Ability to teach other stringed instruments an asset - bass, ukulele, mandolin, etc.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to travel to their lessons
• No criminal background. All teachers will be subject to an RCMP criminal background check prior to being hired
