Job summary

Galent is seeking a Guidewire ClaimCenter Solution Designer and Tech Lead in a hybrid Toronto-based role. The candidate will integrate Guidewire products and drive digital solutions for clients, leveraging extensive Guidewire and Jira experience.

The role requires leadership of cross-functional teams, implementation of end-to-end Guidewire solutions, and mentorship of junior staff while staying current on Guidewire advancements.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in Guidewire and integration projects.
• Experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Guidewire Associate or ACE certification; Palisades release preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Guidewire solutions to meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Guidewire ClaimCenter with other components.
• Lead Jira-based project management to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain Guidewire tools and accelerators to streamline processes.
• Provide technical expertise in Guidewire Studio to customize and extend functionality.
• Oversee integration of the Guidewire Insurance Suite with existing systems to ensure data consistency.
• Lead development of digital portals using Guidewire Digital Portal to enhance user experience.
• Champion best practices under the Guidewire Work Model to optimize project outcomes.
• Conduct regular system performance assessments and recommend improvements for reliability and scalability.
• Translate requirements into clear technical specs and mentor junior team members.
• Stay current on industry trends and Guidewire advancements.

Qualifications:

• Guidewire Associate or Guidewire ACE certification required; certification on the Palisades release preferred.
• Extensive experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite integration and its core components.
• Proven proficiency with Guidewire ClaimCenter and related tools for claims management.
• Strong background in Jira for project management and task tracking.
• Expertise in Guidewire Studio for application customization and extension.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Digital Portal for building user-friendly digital interfaces.
• Solid understanding of the Guidewire Work Model for efficient project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
