Job summary

GFT Technologies SE in Toronto or Montreal seeks an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Developer to join our insurance client’s team. You will design and implement integration solutions across Java, Spring Boot, and Gosu.

The role blends Guidewire ClaimCenter expertise with modern API development, REST and SOAP services, and security practices in a microservices environment. You will create Swagger/OpenAPI docs and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter integration.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Gosu.
• Development of secure REST APIs from scratch using Spring Boot.
• Understanding of Guidewire integration frameworks and microservices architectures.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, messaging, and batch processing.

• Experience defining and documenting APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Location: Toronto, ON (English) or Montreal, QC (Bilingual)
• Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, hybrid 2x per week in office

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Developer to join our client in the insurance industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter, combined with solid expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, and API integrations.

This role requires a balanced technical background, with approximately 50% expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and 50% in Java/Spring Boot integration development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain Java-based web services and API integrations.
• Develop and integrate secure RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, including building APIs from scratch.
• Design and implement integrations between Guidewire ClaimCenter and external enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain integration components using Gosu and Guidewire integration frameworks.
• Build and support RESTful and SOAP web services within a microservices architecture.
• Implement and optimize batch processing and messaging solutions.
• Apply best practices for API security, authentication, authorization, error handling, and logging.
• Perform API testing, troubleshooting, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions.
• Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Required Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Developer.
• Strong programming experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Gosu.
• Demonstrated experience developing secure REST APIs from scratch using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Guidewire integration frameworks and microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, messaging, and batch processing.
• Proficiency in API testing and troubleshooting using tools such as Postman.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Experience defining and documenting APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, error handling, logging, and integration testing practices.
• Familiarity with SAPI, PAPI, and XAPI architecture.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment.
