Job summary

Affinity is seeking a seasoned Guidewire Business Analyst to lead a focused, timeboxed engagement assessing the BillingCenter implementation. You will gather requirements, map current and future processes, and identify automation opportunities aligned with Guidewire best practices.

The role requires expert Guidewire Billing Center experience, CBAP/CCBA or equivalent certification, and strong knowledge of Canadian P&C insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Minimum 5 years gathering business requirements and resolving production issues and elaborating enhancements.
• Candidate must have business analysis experience with Guidewire Billing Centre specifically.
• Expert level experience with Guidewire Billing Center platform.
• Knowledge and experience in Guidewire InsurCloud for Canada would be an asset.
• Experience in the Canadian insurance property and casualty industry would be an asset.
• CBAP, CCBA, or other industry-recognized designation/certification.
• Advanced knowledge of eliciting requirements across business, technical, nonfunctional, security, and testing domains.
• Experience with various SDLC and project delivery methods (agile, waterfall).
• Advanced skill in documenting epics, features, and user stories.

Responsibilities

• Perform a current-state assessment of BillingCenter processes and related billing operations.
• Identify root causes of operational challenges and opportunities to improve automation.
• Develop current and future state process maps for BillingCenter.
• Summarize findings, risks, and operational pain points.
• Prioritize recommendations for process improvements and Guidewire configuration changes.
• Create an implementation roadmap with short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives.
• Scope a new billing method assessment and related scoping report.

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Guidewire Business Analyst to provide business analysis services for a timeboxed (10 business weeks) T&M effort to assess the current Guidewire BillingCenter implementation, with a focus on identifying the root causes of operational challenges, evaluating the effectiveness of existing business processes, and recommending opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and alignment with Guidewire best practices.

Deliverables

• Weekly Status Reports


• A current-state assessment of the BillingCenter delinquency process and related billing operations.


• Current and future state process maps


• A summary of key findings, root causes, risks, and operational pain points.


• Prioritized recommendations for process improvements, configuration changes, and opportunities to better leverage standard Guidewire functionality.


• A implementation roadmap of short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the BillingCenter solution.


• New billing method assessment scoping report

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in gathering business requirements and resolving production issues and elaborating enhancements.


• Candidate must have business analysis experience with Guidewire Billing centre specifically. Do not submit candidates who do not have experience with Guidewire.


• Expert level experience with Guidewire billing centre platform.


• Knowledge and experience in Guidewire InsurCloud for Canada would be an asset.


• Experience in the Canadian insurance property and casualty industry would be an asset.


• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or other industry-recognized designation/certification.


• Advanced knowledge of techniques in eliciting requirements, including business, technical, nonfunctional, security, and testing requirements.


• Advanced knowledge of various software development lifecycles and project delivery processes (e.g., agile, waterfall).


• Advanced skill in documenting epics, features, and user stories.
