Job summary

Alithya in Canada (Remote) is seeking a Guidewire Architecture Advisor/Technical Lead to shape large-scale insurance platforms. You will design, evolve, and govern Guidewire-based architectures and mentor development teams to deliver robust solutions.

You will drive API and microservices integrations, support cloud migrations to Azure or AWS, and collaborate with analysts, QA, operations and partners to ensure secure, scalable applications.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in solution architecture or technical leadership.
• Hands-on Guidewire expertise with modules: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
• Proficiency in Java and Gosu; familiarity with Guidewire configurations and PCF pages.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, SOA and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance; Agile/DevOps familiarity.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring and problem-solving skills.
• Guidewire Associate, Specialist, or ACE certifications.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud, Azure or AWS.

Your role, your impact

As a Guidewire Architecture Advisor/Technical Lead, you'll contribute to large-scale digital transformation projects in the insurance industry. With your Guidewire expertise, you'll play a key role in the evolution and success of the solutions implemented.

Design, evolve, and govern Guidewire-based solution architectures;

Serve as a technical resource for development teams and guide architectural decisions;

Translate business requirements and architectural guidelines into robust, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions;

Mentor developers, conduct design and code reviews, and promote best practices;

Define integration strategies with internal and external systems using APIs, web services, and microservices;

Collaborate with architecture advisors, business analysts, QA teams, operations, and technology partners;

Contribute to application modernization, cloud migration, deployment, and support activities.

Keys to your success

Significant experience in solution architecture or technical leadership in complex environments;

Hands-on expertise with one or more Guidewire modules: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter;

Knowledge of Java and Gosu; experience with Guidewire configurations and PCF pages, depending on the role;

Proficiency in REST/SOAP integrations, service-oriented architectures, and microservices approaches;

Strong understanding of the property and casualty insurance industry and Agile/DevOps methodologies;

Excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

Guidewire Associate, Specialist, or ACE certifications;

Experience with Guidewire Cloud, Azure, or AWS.

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate daily with clients outside of Quebec.
