Position Status: Hourly, Full-time, Seasonal Contract
Job Summary:
As the Guest Services Supervisor you’ll be responsible for assisting the Guest Services Manager, selling the products, services and programs offered at Mt. Sima to our guests. You will also be responsible for the look and feel of our lodge; ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
Duties:
- Overseeing and coordinating Alpine Escapes – Glamping program
- Responsible for turn over of Alpine Escapes include cleaning and the possible moving of large items
- Monitor the Info and Alpine Escapes emails respectively
- Assist Guest Services Manager with special event planning and development
- Responsible for assisting with event set up not limited to table and chair relocation
- Able to lift 30-50lbs
- Assist Guest Services Manager with the preseason program
- Crowd Management on busy operational days
- Working in Guest Services covering sales, ticketing and other duties as assigned
- Act as first point of contact for customers, deliver great guest experiences to users
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and handling transactions and providing accurate information and handle conflictive situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Be up-to-date on all prices, programs, events and policies.
- Seek out accurate information when needed in order to answer all guests’ questions.
- Complete all cash-out procedures and balance on a daily basis. You will be responsible and accountable for all sales transactions completed (including discounts, complimentary products, service recovery products issued and any returns/credits provided).
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate safe work practices
- Broad experience in all aspects of customer service.
- Must have strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
- Can handle conflict resolution situations.
- Mature, friendly and well-presented.
- A positive team player.
Preference is given to those with:
- Second language is an asset
- Previous customer service and sales experience.
- Computer literacy and previous experience with computerized sales and reservation systems.
- Geographical knowledge of Mt. Sima
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of $26-$28/hour
- Wages paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
- 4% vacation pay in accordance with Yukon Employment Standards Act
- Entitlement to general holidays and general holiday pay in accordance with the Employment Standards Act
