TCU Place is seeking a Guest Services Manager to lead our front-line service team and ensure seamless execution of events at one of Saskatoon's premier event venues.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Events, the Guest Services Manager plays a critical role in supervising and coordinating all aspects of our Guest Services Department. From managing staff and supporting live events to maintaining high standards in guest experience, service, and safety, you'll be at the heart of everything we do to make events memorable and successful.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Guest Services operations, including bar service setup, execution, and tear-down
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a diverse team including Guest Services Supervisors, Event Captains, Attendants, and the Inventory Team
Collaborate with internal departments to deliver seamless, high-quality events
Anticipate client needs and ensure outstanding service from start to finish
Conduct staff briefings and ensure clear communication of event expectations
Maintain compliance with liquor, health, and safety regulations
Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any concerns in a professional manner
Ensure proper cash-handling procedures and loss prevention protocols
Implement training, operational procedures, and performance management practices
What You Bring
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage teams, multitask, and make decisions under pressure
Strong knowledge of event operations, beverage service, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in administrative systems and event tracking tools
Experience balancing staffing needs with operational efficiency
Previous experience in large-scale event execution is a strong asset
Qualifications
A diploma or certificate in Hotel & Restaurant Administration (or related field) from a recognized two-year post-secondary institution
Minimum 2 years' experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Must provide a current, acceptable Criminal Record Check
Schedule & Work Environment
This is not your typical 9-5 job. The role primarily involves afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Extended hours are expected during peak event times.
