A key role to set the tone for everyone who walks through our doors and provide the always-important first impression. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the front office team and work in cooperation with the management and other associates.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a smooth operation of the Front Office.
  2. Supervise the registration, check-in and out process of guests.
  3. Process customer payments, and support team members as necessary.
  4. Assist in training new hires and ensure clean and orderly environment for customers.
  5. Support in training the team on systems, security and cash handling procedures.
  6. Encourage teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  7. Ensure accurate room(s) status information is maintained and properly communicated.
  8. Resolve guest complaints promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  9. Understand and comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and laws.
  10. Report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to ensure department equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
  11. Act as a health and safety leader on the property, report all workplace incidents/accidents or near misses, role model wearing all Personal Protective Equipment required, and participates in fire safety plan.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  13. Ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Completion of Secondary School; A university degree or college diploma would be a plus.
  2. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  3. Prior experience in hotel/motel or restaurant is preferred.
  4. Experience in a fast-paced service environment.
  5. Excellent communication and reading skills.
  6. Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
  7. Detail oriented, reliable & trustworthy.
  8. Able to safely lift upwards of 50lbs.
