Job description

Are you a people person? As one of our Old House Hotel guest service agents, you are one of the brightest spots in our guests’ days. A people-pleaser, a problem-solver, with a kind and cheery attitude, you are the face of the Old House Hotel & Spa. You make multi-tasking seem effortless, like welcoming our four-legged friends, recommending a restaurant, booking a reservation, and requesting more towels from housekeeping all at the same time.

Complex procedures like leveraging the property management system, handling monetary transactions, and keeping up with the communications log are no sweat with your quick mind. You enjoy days that fly by and are full of new faces and energy. Your front desk associate job is a bit like a theatre, where backstage or frontstage, the show must go on, and you’re an inspiration to us all.

The best part is, it’s all real: you are proud of our west coast, home away from home, and totally enjoy your team, which on most days is more like a family. Your ideas about how to improve what we do and how we do it are encouraged by your managers, who are there to remove any barriers to your star performance each day. While the pay and perks are sweet, being a part of a team in a place that is your happy place is priceless.

Responsibilities:
  1. Role model and champion the Hotel and your team with the utmost professionalism.
  2. Available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
  1. Excellent interpersonal skills including team building and organizational skills.
  2. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  3. Strong written and verbal English communication skills; fluency in a second language is an asset.
  4. Able to meet physical demands of the job.
