Eataly Toronto is seeking a Front-End Lead to coordinate the Front End Cashier team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The role requires supervising cashiers, approving transactions, and mentoring staff under the Front End Manager.

You will process daily cash/credit transactions, oversee the front-end operations, manage currency orders, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures in a busy retail setting at Eataly.

Qualificações

• 1+ year of supervisor experience in retail.
• Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical equations.
• Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• Smart Serve certified.

Responsabilidades

• Handles monetary transactions and performs advanced cashiering duties.
• Assists in supervising the Front-End team to ensure optimal performance and guest experience.
• Approves voids, employee discounts, returns and exchanges.
• Processes and settles daily cash and credit transactions for all departments.
• Processes and prepares shipment of daily cash deposits.
• Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data and discrepancies.
• Maintains currency orders to ensure cash is available for transactions.
• Maintains an accurate safe count and cash recycling machine operations.
• Orders and monitors inventory of Front End supplies.
• Documents, investigates and resolves incidents.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Description

At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Front-End Lead. The Front-End Lead serves as the liaison between staff and management to ensure the department is fully functional. The Front-End Lead delegates to, motivates, trains and mentors Front End Cashiers to promote their development. Reports to the Front End Manager.

• Handles monetary transactions and performs advanced cashiering duties
• Assists in supervising the Front-End team to ensure optimal performance and guest experience
• Approves voids, employee discounts, returns and exchanges
• Processes and settles daily cash and credit transactions for all departments
• Processes and prepares shipment of daily cash deposits
• Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data and technical or price discrepancies, communicating issues to the appropriate managers and departments
• Processes and monitors currency orders to ensure that cash is always available for transactions
• Maintains an accurate safe count along with daily operation and maintenance of a cash recycling machine
• Orders and monitors inventory of supplies needed for the Front End
• Documents, investigates, escalates and resolves employee or guest incidents
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a supervisor in a retail setting, with experience leading a cashier team preferred
• Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical equations
• Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• Smart Serve certified

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $21.00-$23.00 hourly
