This is an interview position.

To provide extensive customs brokerage services in accordance with Canada Customs and other government departments (OGD) regulations and legislation pertaining to over sixty acts of legislation relating to International Trade, including but not limited to high and low value (HVS/LVS) entry processing and customer consulting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Educational Requirements

• Post Secondary: Community College Diploma/Equivalent
• Professional accreditation/certification: Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) or (CSCB) qualified professional designation.

Minimum years of experience for entry:

• 2 years current customs brokerage experience OR
• 2 years current rating and international experience

Other requirements:

• Maintain CCS designation and achieve annual recurrency points.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of:

• Excellent Mathematical Skills
• Knowledge of FedEx operations
• Knowledge of International Customs documentation and regulations
• In-depth knowledge of customs, agriculture, food and drug, tariff and valuation laws, and other government department laws and policies
• Knowledge of agency clearance requirements and release processes

• Excel – Basic
• Minimum of 25 wpm on data entry alpha numeric testing preferred

• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment, especially at ports: YQG, YOW, YEG, YWG, YYC, YMX
