Job description

This is an interview position focused on processing low value (LVS) shipments in accordance with Canadian Customs regulations and other government legislation. The role involves providing accurate international shipment information, primarily for commercial shipments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Educational Requirements: Post-secondary diploma or equivalent from a community college.

Professional Accreditation/Certification: Canadian Customs Specialist or CSCB qualified.

Related Experience:

• Minimum of one year experience, preferably with FedEx, in Canadian Customs Regulations related to international operations.

Mandatory Experience:

• Maintain CCS designation with annual re-currency points.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment, especially at ports YQG, YOW, YEG, YWG, YYC, YMX.
• In Quebec, bilingual in English and French required.

Technical Skills:

• Good mathematical and computer skills.
• Knowledge of customs rules and regulations.

Computer proficiency includes:

• Preferred familiarity with clearance systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum typing speed of 25 WPM on alphanumeric data entry preferred.
