We offer an AI-powered, SaaS platform connecting Fresh, Center, eCommerce, and DSD department operations to deliver a simplified, smarter, more connected store experience. Customers running Upshop realize significant improvements in sales, shrink , food safety and sustainability across the entire store. 4 50+ retail chain accounts trust our software in over 50 k+ stores, 35 countries, and 3 continents.

Overview of the Role

At Upshop, the Growth Marketing Specialist will play a mission-critical role in accelerating the performance and visibility of our Total Store Operations platform. This is more than just a tactical marketing role — it’s a chance to shape and execute data-informed campaigns that directly drive awareness, adoption, and growth across our dynamic customer base in the grocery and convenience retail space.

You’ll be embedded in a fast-paced marketing team where experimentation, testing, and continuous optimization are central to success. Your role will center on turning insights into outcomes — leveraging data to identify opportunities, craft targeted messaging, and execute across digital channels with precision. From A/B testing to analyzing user behavior across the funnel, you’ll design and refine campaigns that not only tell our story but prove their effectiveness in real time. You’ll collaborate across functions, especially Product Marketing, to launch new products, scale proven tactics, and contribute to a performance-driven culture where every marketing investment is accountable to growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a metrics-focused marketer who thrives on experimentation and iteration — someone excited to build scalable programs, track what matters, and optimize relentlessly to move the needle. If you’re motivated by driving quantifiable results, let’s build together. This is an on-site opportunity that sits in our Austin office and will report directly to the Director, Demand Generation

Responsibilities

Marketing Campaigns

  • Design and execute data-driven growth experiments in campaigns across the full funnel, closely aligned with revenue marketing KPIs.
  • Build, launch, and continuously optimize multi-channel campaigns including website, email, and social, with a focus on measurable growth outcomes.
  • Own the creative direction for campaigns — from visuals to asset production, including basic video editing — ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, to uncover high-impact opportunities, accelerate the customer journey, and scale what works.

Website, Landing pages, and SEO

  • Optimize site structure, design, content, and performance for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).
  • Run experiments to test CTAs, page structure, messaging, and personalization.
  • Build landing pages and implement A/B tests using HubSpot.
  • Apply UX principles and analytics data to remove friction and improve conversion rates.

Email Marketing

  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with content and product teams to craft persuasive email content, creative, and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Segment email lists and tailor campaigns for specific customer segments.
  • Continuously A/B test emails for improved performance and engagement.

Webinars, and Sales Enablement

  • Create and manage webinar rooms to support virtual events, product demos, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement materials, including sales pages and collateral, in collaboration with product marketing.

Social Media

  • Manage and grow the company’s presence across platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
  • Develop and schedule engaging posts aligned with product launches, campaigns, and business news.
  • Track performance and optimize based on engagement metrics.

  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns vs. goals and benchmarks.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed recommendations for optimization.
  • Contribute to the Monthly Metrics report, to monitor key growth KPIs

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in growth, digital, or performance marketing roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Strong analytical approach, with a focus on data, benchmarking, and optimizing conversion rates.
  • Highly creative, with a sharp eye for visual design and user experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective tactics that accelerate customer upscale cycles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships with customers, thought leaders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple campaigns.
  • Proficient in key marketing tools like WordPress, GA4, Canva, Opus, Salesforce, Livestorm, Mindtickle, and an expert at HubSpot.
