Grow Team Member - Broken Coast Cannabis ( Nanaimo, BC )

Job Summary

Reporting to the Grow Supervisor, the Grow Team Member will perform tasks related to plant cultivation.

Shift timings: Monday-Thursday (7:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Pay: CAD $21 per hour

Functions of the role include:
  1. Transplanting, harvesting, pruning, nutrient application, taking cuttings, integrated pest management, pesticide application, destruction, sanitation duties, and trellising of cannabis
  2. Maintain healthy and thriving plants during all stages of cultivation (mother, clones, veg, flower, and cure)
  3. Mixing plant nutrients in accordance with Master Grower
  4. Ensure stock tanks and feed tanks are maintained
  5. Ensuring product is cured and packaged for shipment
  6. Maintaining accurate inventory of clones
  7. Record accurate documentation of daily activities
  8. Adhere to all relevant SOPs including sanitation, cultivation, and processing
  9. Maintenance and monitoring of facility systems
  10. Complete relevant documentation and records accurately
  11. Report deviations from SOPs promptly
  12. Adhere to safe work procedures and report hazards
  13. Complete forms, logs, and documentation per SOPs and policies
  14. Participate in company training on policies, procedures, and work methods
  15. Assist in mother rooms, trim, harvest, sanitation, or other departments as needed
  16. Perform other duties as required by management
Qualifications:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods

  • Basic math skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic
  • Basic computer skills are an asset
  • Experience in a regulated environment (food, pharmaceuticals) is an asset
