The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Group Sales Supervisor supporting our WestJet Vacations brand to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As a Group Sales Supervisor, you will play a key role in driving team performance to meet and exceed sales targets. By providing effective coaching, motivation, and operational oversight, you will ensure that all team members remain focused on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business goals. The position reports to the Director, Group Sales, and will be located in Toronto, ON.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members on sales techniques, customer service excellence, and adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and weekly performance reviews.
  • Monitor and manage team KPIs, providing regular feedback and recognition.
  • Address performance challenges and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Take and resolve escalated calls, offering coaching to prevent recurrence.
  • Motivate and encourage a positive team culture and attitude.
  • Ensure timely responses to emails, voicemails, and queue call requests.
  • Balance workload across team members by tracking email volumes and call schedules.
  • Track and report on seat counts, receivables, and group booking payments.
  • Communicate updates on promotions, procedures, and policy changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and high-volume customers.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions with care, compassion, and competence.
  • Identify and address service challenges or opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor calls and customer interactions to ensure service excellence.
  • Identify and celebrate performance excellence with both customers and team members.
  • Propose innovative ideas to improve team performance, processes, and technology.
  • Stay current with product knowledge, promotions, and internal procedures.
  • Attend training sessions and complete all required learning modules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 1 year p revious supervisory and employee coaching experience in a sales environment - preferably in the travel industry.
  • Post-secondary education in travel is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and foster collaboration within a team.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative as well as a progressive, open-minded approach to developing new sales, employees, processes etc.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities and enjoys working directly with customers.
  • Must be very organized, with a strong ability to multitask and work well under pressure while maintaining professional communications in all settings.
  • Must possess excellent administration skills and PC Skills (MS Office, Excel, PPT, etc.).
  • TICO Certification required.
  • Experience with TTS and Sabre is an asset.
