Job description

Overview

Groupe Dynamite Inc. (GDI) is a Montréal-based, public company of integrated omni-channel brands, designing and distributing accessible, trend-forward fashion for women since 1975.

Our mission of "Empowering YOU to be YOU, one outfit at a time" is brought to life through the GARAGE and DYNAMITE banners and represents the consumer-centric core of GDI's long-standing success as a leading retailer in North America.

Today, GDI operates nearly 300 stores across Canada and the United States, as well as shoppable brand experiences at Garageclothing.com and Dynamiteclothing.com.

Job Summary

Groupe Dynamite is seeking a passionate, data-fluent Sr. Product Owner, CRM & Loyalty to join our Digital Product team. Reporting to the Director of Digital Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how our customers experience our brands post-acquisition. You will bridge strategy, analytics, and technology-turning customer insights into a robust product roadmap focused on long-term engagement, retention, and lifetime value.

As the Sr. Product Owner, you will be the ultimate custodian of our customer "golden data set", ensuring its integrity and scalability to power hyper-personalization, automation, and advanced segmentation. You will work with a dedicated Scrum team to implement an innovative product backlog, making the tough trade-offs necessary to deliver an elevated, seamless omni-channel customer experience. You are the voice of the customer, bringing innovative ideas to the table to drive growth across both the GARAGE and DYNAMITE brands.

Main Responsibilities
Strategic Roadmap & Retention Focus
  • Translate Strategy into Action: Partner with Customer Insights, CRM/Marketing, E-commerce, and Analytics stakeholders to translate retention objectives and business visions into clear Epics and an actionable product roadmap.
  • Drive Customer Retention: Own the end-to-end optimization of features, enhancements, and customer journeys aimed specifically at increasing user engagement, repeat purchase behaviour, and long-term brand loyalty.
  • Feature Lifecycle Management: Lead feature development from ideation through launch and beyond, actively maintaining a robust testing backlog to continuously optimize the customer experience and mitigate risk.
Data & Technical Ownership
  • Guard the Golden Data Set: Define and manage the requirements for our core customer "golden data set", ensuring high-fidelity data flows that enable real-time, hyper-personalized customer experiences.
  • System Integration: Partner closely with technical teams and other cross-functional POs to ensure seamless, stable, and future-ready integrations between our data systems and the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Agile Backlog Management: Translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize the product backlog efficiently across growth features, performance optimization, and technical debt.
Insights, Analytics & Collaboration
  • KPI & Performance Monitoring: Define clear goals and KPIs (such as retention rates, churn reduction, and conversion) in collaboration with business owners. Continuously monitor metrics to report performance back to senior leadership.
  • Obsess Over the Customer: Initiate user testing and leverage research insights to deeply understand consumer behaviour, using data to build habit-forming, personalized digital touchpoints tailored to each brand's unique identity.
  • Cross-Functional Relationship Building: Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers across digital product, IT, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure alignment and speed to market.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of Product Owner experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused industry (Retail or E-commerce preferred). A proven track record in retention, CRM, customer journey management, or personalization strategies is essential.
  • Technical Ecosystem Expertise: Previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and/or Braze is a must-have. Solid understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Salesforce Experience Cloud (SFEC) is highly valued.
  • Data Fluency: Strong understanding of data architecture, data flows, APIs, and customer data platforms (CDPs) required to maintain unified customer profiles.
  • Agile Frameworks: Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with full backlog ownership, sprint planning, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the demonstrated ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams, presenting complex concepts clearly to a senior audience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Core Assets
  • Ownership: You take full initiative, confidently make tough decisions under ambiguity, and maintain a strong sense of urgency around resolving critical customer-facing issues.
  • Data-Driven: You live in the analytics and insights, but you know when to question the data quality to protect the integrity of the customer experience.
  • Creative: You are a natural problem-solver who thinks creatively about how to delight the customer without being afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Empathetic & Curious: You are genuinely eager to learn emerging technologies (like AI and advanced automation) and thrive in a collaborative culture that deeply cares about people.

At GDI, you will be part of a growing organization that understands the importance of investing in people and offers you:

  • A comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;
  • A group retirement savings program with employer matching;
  • Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs;
  • An employee discount at Garage and Dynamite;
  • Exclusive private sample sales;
  • A flexible vacation policy;
  • And more!

GDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal's Top Employers and one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People.

Our promise...

No day will be like the last-we aim to be better today than we were yesterday. We are committed to employment equity.

Candidates that are retained will be called for an interview.
