This strategic role requires over 5 years of experience in service management, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of KPI implementation. Overview
The Group Fixed Operations Manager Reports to the CEO and, as a member of the senior executive team, your role also assists Dealer Principals and Branch Managers in the strategic and operational management of Parts and Service Operations throughout the group.
Specific duties:
Oversight of hiring and training requirements for service operations
Assist in developing KPIs, Benchmarks and Minimum Performance Standards and implementing strategy and operation process
Review and consolidate reporting from Parts and Service Managers
Monthly Fixed Operations managers meetings
Ensure equipment maintenance is up and compliant
Maintain an ongoing schedule of CAPEX requirements
Monitor compliance with OEM requirements
Assist in developing strategies to manage ongoing capacity requirements
Monitor inventory levels within agreed MPS
Coordinate "stock takes" as required
Develop strategies to investigate growth opportunities
Support Call Centre functions relating to Fixed Operations
Help develop and support Fixed Operations marketing strategies
Assist in management of Parts and Service debtors
Prepare and maintain "non-management" employment agreements
Maintain and authorise leave schedules
Authorise fortnightly pay run
Authorise monthly Fixed Operations bonuses and commissions.
Assist in the management of performance and disciplinary proceedings
Maintain employee Skills Matrix
Health and Safety:
Ensure group compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements including: the development of health and safety protocols, health and safety reporting, incident investigations, health and safety training requirements, safety equipment and training.
Property and Infrastructure:
Coordinate upkeep and maintain contractual relationships in respect of lease maintenance requirements.
Maintain contractual relationships in respect of infrastructure supply, cleaning, security, key register etc.
Skills and background sought
5 years plus service management or aftersales management experience is required with the ability to lead a large team. A motor industry background is essential along with the experience outlined.
You will need the ability to both build on present fixed operations strategies and develop strategies alongside the executive leadership team.
An in-depth understanding of KPI's across aftersales operations and how to measure, implement, and train your department managers to achieve the same.
Strong people leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
