Job description

Group Financial Controller – Global SaaS Business | Dublin HQ

A well-established international software company is seeking to appoint a Group Financial Controller to join its Dublin-based headquarters. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity reporting directly to the US-based CFO. The successful candidate will lead the global financial compliance function across a multi-jurisdictional group, overseeing statutory reporting, audit, and accounting controls.

This role will suit a hands-on, commercially aware finance professional with a strong background in international group accounting, ideally gained within a SaaS, technology, or fast-scaling global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global month-end close process across multiple entities
  • Prepare consolidated group financial statements and compliance reporting
  • Oversee international statutory audits and tax compliance requirements
  • Ensure timely statutory filings across all relevant jurisdictions
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and implement global transfer pricing policies
  • Collaborate with Finance Ops to enhance ERP and month-end automation
  • Define clear roles and boundaries between FP&A and operational finance
  • Lead and develop an international team of accounting professionals

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience in managing international audits and group consolidation
  • Exposure to SaaS or technology-driven environments is highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and data modelling)
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable operating in a high-performance, fast-paced environment
  • Based in Dublin or open to a hybrid working model
