Job summary

Gibbons Whistler in Whistler, BC seeks a Group Experience & Event Coordinator to design and deliver top-tier group experiences across nine pubs and restaurants, The Adventure Group, The Adara Hotel, The Spa at Whistler, and festival events.

You will meet clients face-to-face, collaborate with our head office teams, host groups at Base Camp, and ensure flawless event execution from inquiry to cheers.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, tourism, or food & beverage industries.
• Proven background in event planning, group bookings, contracting and execution.
• Confidence in sales, outreach and building client relationships.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, digital communication and contract tools.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Flexible schedule to support events and special requests.
• Bonus: FareHarbor, SevenRooms or Tripleseat experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to group inquiries and design custom event packages.
• Outreach focused on inbound customers and conferences.
• Lead site visits and manage reservations from booking to event execution.
• Oversee flawless event delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Drive sales initiatives and support business development.
• Build relationships with destination management companies (DMCs).
• Maintain client relationships and resolve concerns with the Experience Manager.
• Attend weekly Sales & Marketing meetings and training sessions.
• Stay up to date with Gibbons Whistler products and services offerings.
