Job summary

Chimo Youth Retreat Centre is seeking a Full Time Group Care Support Staff for the Chimo 5 Transition Home, a program that helps young people learn skills to live full and independent lives in our community.

Shifts include days, evenings and overnights on a three-week rotation totaling about 44 hours per week; a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field is required. Benefits include holidays, health and dental after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or related field.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and writing reports/logs.
• Current Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check (within 6 months)
• Class 5 AB Driver's Licence with three years driving experience and access to a vehicle
• Vaccination status proof or medical exemption

Responsibilities

• Day to day operations of the home.
• Implementation of the youth's in-home programming.
• Daily documentation/reporting of activities.
• Advocacy and teamwork with staff and youth.
