Description

As a Group Account Director at dentsu Creative, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic execution of client initiatives—ensuring deliverables are met with excellence, on brief, on time, and within budget. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, fostering strong, collaborative relationships and driving business growth through insight-led, inclusive solutions. In this leadership role, you will oversee account planning and management, while mentoring and empowering a diverse team of Account Directors and Supervisors to deliver work that reflects our shared values and client objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative, strategic, and commercially impactful solutions that align client goals with agency values.
  • Build and nurture inclusive client relationships, ensuring the account team consistently delivers exceptional service and strategic value.
  • Translate agency vision into actionable business plans that drive measurable results and reflect a commitment to equity and excellence.
  • Own and manage senior-level client relationships, ensuring alignment with relationship strategy and commercial frameworks.
  • Provide inclusive leadership to a high-performing, integrated team—ensuring diverse perspectives are valued and the team is resourced and supported to meet client objectives.
  • Champion professional development through coaching, mentoring, and upskilling initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Conduct performance development reviews and create tailored growth plans for direct reports, offering ongoing support and feedback.
  • Define clear objectives and KPIs, and ensure consistent tracking and achievement across the team.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities across existing and potential clients, leveraging knowledge of dentsu’s products and services to deliver ambitious, value-driven solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 3 years of team leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic communications plans and deliver thoughtful, client-centric recommendations.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and building trust across diverse internal and external teams.
  • Experience supporting new business initiatives at the network or brand level.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating long-term, sustainable client relationships.
  • Experience in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) is a plus
Additional information

The salary range for this position is $140K-$150k. Actual salary within the range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
