Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring a Groundsperson to support trimming operations on site in Port Coquitlam, BC. You will assist climbers and crews, help with job-site setup, debris removal and equipment maintenance, while adhering to safety standards.

The role offers full-time, year-round work with ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid provincial driver’s license.
• Willingness to work toward becoming a certified arborist.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Experience in landscape/horticulture is an asset.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Groundwork support for trimming operations.
• Operate chainsaw and chipper; load brush.
• Assist Crew leader in job-site setup, debris removal, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Rake up/leaf blow job sites.
• Rigging down limbs.
