Job summary

Actionmarguerite is seeking a Groundskeeper and Maintenance Helper to perform building, equipment and grounds maintenance, including preventative upkeep and work requisitions. The role enhances outdoor spaces that are appealing, beautiful and safe across sites and contracts.

Ideal candidates have Grade 12, a valid driver's license, tractor experience, and 3 years in health care settings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently or in a team are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s licence is required.
• Certification and experience in related trades a definite asset (for example, electrical, plumbing, painting, refrigeration, carpentry, HVAC, grounds keeping and landscaping).
• Three years of experience, preferably in a related setting (health care, long term care).
• Previous experience using a tractor.
• Experience and/or education in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform required maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds.
• Complete ongoing work requisitions and related functions.
• Provide service to all Actionmarguerite sites and applicable service contracts.

Job description

The Groundskeeper and Maintenance Helper is responsible for performing required maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds, including assigned preventative maintenance duties on equipment, completing ongoing work requisitions and other related functions. This person has a keen eye for outdoor spaces and plays an important role in creating and maintaining outdoor spaces that are appealing, beautiful and safe. The incumbent provides service to all Actionmarguerite sites and applicable service contracts.

Required Qualifications
