Job description

If you enjoy being outdoors in a constantly moving environment, the Santa’s Village Groundskeeper position is perfect for you.

Reporting to the Groundskeeping Supervisor, Groundskeepers are responsible for maintaining general tidiness of the park grounds and ensuring maintenance requests are being handled in a timely manner. Customer service and contact is an integral part of this position as our groundskeepers are the most mobile members of Team Santa, moving amongst our guests, answering questions and assisting with in-the-moment needs on a daily basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Daily opening and closing of the restrooms, along with daily cleaning and restocking
• Emptying and lining garbage and recycling containers throughout the park on a rotating basis as needed
• Keeping cleaning and maintenance supplies stocked throughout the park daily
• Daily raking of the beach and seaweed cleanup
• Watering gardens and flowers around the park property; weeding as needed
• Lawn care
• General maintenance requests that come through on a daily basis

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Candidates must be self-starters, and be able to work at a diligent pace in order to complete the tasks assigned
• The ability to work cohesively as a team and on your own
• Prior experience is an asset, but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times
• The ability to work in extreme weather
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions
