CLV Group, a leading Canadian real estate firm, is seeking an Entry-Level Grounds Maintenance Worker for the 100 Main Street community in Downtown Hamilton. You will maintain exterior grounds, the parking garage, and waste systems to preserve the property's quality and create a welcoming environment for residents.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and the willingness to assist other technicians.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general labour or maintenance tasks.
• Own vehicle with a clean driver's abstract is required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Regularly empty trash and recycling bins throughout the property.
• Pressure wash and clean garbage chutes, waste bins, dumpsters, and exterior surfaces.
• Perform snow and ice removal during winter months with a snow blower.
• Oversee organization and cleanliness of the garage and storage areas.
• Assist other Property Maintenance Technicians with repairs as needed during turnovers.
• Complete work orders including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of health, safety, and emergency procedures.

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our Operations team at our 100 Main Street community in the heart of Downtown Hamilton. We are looking for a dependable, hands‑on professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, values exceptional customer service, and is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming living environment for our residents.

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring the property remains well‑maintained, operationally efficient, and visually appealing. Your primary focus will be the upkeep of the exterior grounds, parking garage, and waste management systems, helping to preserve the overall quality of the community while supporting a positive resident experience every day.

Responsibilities

In addition to the duties typically expected of a grounds maintenance professional, responsibilities will include:

• Regularly empty trash and recycling bins throughout the property.
• Pressure wash and clean garbage chutes, waste bins, dumpsters, and building exterior surfaces as required.
• Perform snow & ice removal during the winter months, including the safe operation of a snow blower.
• Ensure the proper disposal of garbage and debris from the properties.
• Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the garage and storage areas.
• Assist other Property Maintenance Technicians with repairs to rental properties as needed, during occupancy and during the transition of residents from units (turnovers).
• Complete work orders from residents, which can include a combination of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all health, safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing general labour or maintenance tasks.
• Must have own vehicle with a clean drivers abstract
• General understanding of residential building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems are considered a strong asset.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions is required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Additional Information

• Available and able to work on the rotational emergency on call schedule.
• Evening and weekend hours required from time-to-time.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must be proficient using a computer and MS-Office.

Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other job-related qualifications.
