St Joseph Non-Profit Housing provides rent-geared-to-income housing for seniors and families. Our current rental assets include 90 one-bedroom apartments for seniors and 50 family rental units of varying sizes in a configuration of townhouses. The current employees are dedicated to maintaining a safe and clean physical environment. The Role We are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Worker. This is a seasonal position working full-time hours. This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual with some technical skills looking for an opportunity to expand their hands-on experience and knowledge. Much of the successful candidate’s day will be spent outdoors. Working closely with our full-time maintenance staff, the grounds maintenance worker will assist with outdoor and indoor caretaking. Duties will include landscaping and grass-cutting, light plumbing and various installations and repairs.
Qualifications
Experience with lawn tractors, lawn mowers, trimmers, and other basic lawn care equipment is essential Valid driver’s license The ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods and perform physical labour A self-motivated personality with good time management skills and strong attention to detail Adaptable and willing to learn new skills
