Rise Air in Saskatoon is seeking a Ground Service Attendant to perform ground duties, assist passengers, marshal aircraft, de-ice, clean and prepare aircraft, and manage baggage and cargo on a casual, on-call basis. Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 1–2 years of progressive customer service experience.
  • Willingness to work on-call, casual hours (0–19 hours per week).
  • Able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours under varying conditions.
  • Prior aviation experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist flight crews and customers requiring assistance to board or deplane.
  • Safely operate and maintain ground support vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform custodial duties around facilities and grounds.
  • Marshall aircraft.
  • De-ice and anti-ice aircraft.
  • Groom and detail aircraft interiors/exterior as needed.
  • Handle baggage and cargo, load and unload aircraft.

The Ground Service Attendant is responsible for providing ground duties including, but not limited to, servicing of aircraft while on the ground, baggage processing, special assistance, cargo acceptance and handling, ground handling, fuelling if applicable at the base, and check-in when required, and to carry out duties in accordance with health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations.

What you'll do
  • Assist flight crews and customers requiring assistance to enplane/deplane.
  • Safely and efficiently operate and maintain ground support vehicles and equipment required to service aircraft.
  • Perform custodial duties in and around all company managed facilities, e.g., recycling, garbage, cleaning hangars and maintaining grounds.
  • Marshall aircraft.
  • De-ice and anti-ice aircraft.
  • Groom and detail aircraft interiors/exteriors as required.
  • Handle baggage and cargo, load, and unload aircraft.
What you'll bring
  • High school diploma, with one to two years’ progressive customer service experience.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on-call, casual hours (0-19 hours per week).
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and demonstrated positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds
  • Ability to work long and sometimes irregular hours under varying weather conditions.
  • Previous work experience or training in aviation is considered an asset.

The rate of pay for this role starts at $19.18 per hour.
