An established industry player is seeking a Ground Service Equipment Technician to ensure the maintenance and repair of crucial ground service equipment. This role involves performing both planned and unplanned maintenance, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Under the direction of the general manager, the Ground Service Equipment Technician supports the maintenance and ground services departments and is responsible for utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment, and materials to maintain and repair ground service equipment owned by Snowbird Aviation Services.
Ground Service Equipment
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position include a high school diploma, and a valid automotive service technician, commercial transport mechanic or heavy-duty mechanic trades certification with a minimum 5 years' progressive experience. The incumbent must be able to successfully pass any pre-employment qualifying exams. Previous work experience or training in aviation ground service maintenance and repairs with respect to de-icing equipment or other transportation is an asset.
