Executive Aviation is excited to announce that we are looking for Ground Handler Leads for our Victoria International Airport Below the Wing team. This person will help in providing hands-on leadership and coverage for each flight. You will be providing a great example to our Ground Operations team on how to safely and successfully work with aircraft. We are looking for a hard worker, dynamic problem solver, progressive thinker, and someone who has the proven ability to create efficiencies in the operation.

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Become person of accountability for each arrival and departure
2. Lead ground handling operation on a daily basis
3. Meet frequently with Ground Ops Manager to review operational and personal performance
4. Ensure all agents are briefed on their anticipated roles
5. Ensure all ground equipment is operational and provide a back-up plan for unserviceable equipment
6. Record daily operations for billing/invoicing
7. Ensure each airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
8. Drive and operate ramp serving equipment, marshal/wing walk aircraft to gate
9. Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan, deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
10. Services aircraft water and lavatories
11. Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
12. Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor
13. Grooms aircrafts – clean whole cabin, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
14. De-icing aircraft and recording deice fluid applications for billing/invoicing and auditing
15. Provide daily vehicle inspections
16. Other tasks as required

Qualifications

1. Minimum 1-year ground handling experience
2. All Training and Read and Signs must be current and up to date
3. Possess a valid restricted area pass and AVOP (D/A)
4. A positive individual with the ability to lead a team
5. Have a record of safe working habits and personal on-time performance
6. Has displayed great leadership skills, or an interest in learning
7. Has successfully completed all required airline training programs
8. An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
1. Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
2. A criminal background check
3. Hold a valid driver’s license, with a clean driver's abstract
