Primary Objective of the Position

Ensure the safe and timely processing of cargo and aircraft loading/offloading within prescribed parameters.

Essential Position Functions

  • Loading and unloading aircraft and trucks.
  • Operating ground support equipment.
  • Repeatedly lifting packages up to 60 lbs.
  • Sorting packages based on customer, destination, and other parameters.
  • Communicating piece counts and package information to supervisors.
  • Handling customer packages and freight with care.
  • Adhering to safety and security protocols.
  • Performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Handling Dangerous Goods in accordance with regulations.
  • Meeting deadlines for freight build-up and breakdown as part of a team.
  • Completing training modules such as WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, and Hazard Prevention.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Working in and around aircraft daily.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
  • Ability to work within a team and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Quick learner and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Willing to take direction and develop within the company.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to undergo a background check and security clearance.
  • Willing to work outdoors.
