Job summary

Longo's is seeking a dedicated Grocery Assistant Department Manager - Full Time to lead with integrity and passion for food in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist the Grocery Manager to ensure daily operations run smoothly and contribute to a high-performing team.

You will mentor Team Members, manage inventory, and uphold health & safety standards while providing exceptional customer service to customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year grocery department experience with product knowledge.
• Strong customer service and ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and mentor Team Members.
• Support with regular team meetings.
• Coach and train Team Members to maintain productivity.
• Handle Team Member and customer issues.
• Uphold policies including health & safety, food safety and loss prevention.
• Merchandise, manage inventory and schedule to meet financial objectives.
• Provide exceptional customer service to Team Members, Customers and Vendors.
