Sobeys Inc. is hiring a customer-oriented clerk to provide exceptional service at the store level in Edmonton. You will handle cashiering, assist customers, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

The role emphasizes accurate price entries, safe handling of payments, and teamwork with colleagues to meet store productivity standards. Flexible shifts are available. Eligible for total rewards and benefits as described by Sobeys.

Responsabilidades

• Enter and/or scan items selected by the customer.
• Ensure prices are accurate and cancel transactions per standards.
• Handle cash and other payments (debit, cheques) and make deposits.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Bag items and keep area clean and maintained.
• Operate equipment safely and follow food safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

The clerk is required to deliver exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring that their workspace is attractive and in good condition at all times.

Here’s Where You Will Be Focusing

• Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.
• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to established standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
