Work involves coordinating with multiple departments and supporting merchandise presentation. The position is part-time and permanent, with shifts that may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and organize products in backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays across Grocery, Dairy, Frozen and Bakery.
• Rotate stock using first-in, first-out method.
• Keep aisles, shelves, and displays clean and tidy; sweep and mop floors.
• Assist customers in finding products and answering questions.
• Set up promotional displays and update signage and price tags.
• Assist with gathering carts and other tasks as assigned by management.

Depending on a candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, education and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether it is the starting wage or higher, will be within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.

What You'll Do:

• Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays in the Grocery, Dairy, Frozen and Bakery departments, ensuring products are placed in the correct locations.
• Rotate stock within the Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Bakery departments using the first-in, first-out method.
• Keep aisles, shelves, coolers, displays, and the overall store clean and tidy.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Handle spills promptly and ensure the store is safe for customers.
• Help customers find specific products or answer questions about items.
• Provide recommendations and offer assistance with shopping needs.
• Occasionallyassistwith helping customers put groceries into their vehicle.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
• Occasionally receive product and ensure the invoice isaccurate.
• Set up and maintainpromotional displays and end caps in the Grocery, Dairy, Frozen and Bakery departments.
• Ensure that displays are visually appealing and well-organized.
• Update signage and price tags as needed.
• Perform price checks for customers and fellow employees.
• Ensure that all products have the correct price tags and labels.
• Perform duties across all areas of the Grocery Department, including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen and Bakery.
• Assistwith gathering shopping carts or baskets and putting them away when needed.
• Assistwith tasks orprojects asassigned by management.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Use equipment and tools safely and properly.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to management.

Qualifications:

• Able to stock merchandise and create displays.
• Good productknowledge and attention to detail.
• Retail experience is considered an asset.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and work under minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working across multiple areas of the Grocery Department, including Grocery, Dairy, and Bakery.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights,weekendsand holidays.
