Type: Regular Full Time - $19.00 - $22.00/hr
Shifts: Complete open availability; weekends required
Position Summary
As a Grocery Clerk 4, you will assist in daily grocery department operations while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs, and answer questions promptly.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of grocery products and their aisle locations.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and product rotation.
- Help maintain back stock levels and organize deliveries.
- Support product displays and signage on the sales floor.
- Answer phones courteously and promptly.
- Follow safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Report safety hazards immediately.
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
- Attend scheduled training and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Retail or grocery experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Follow directions and procedures with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills.
- Conversational English; bilingual preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work involves handling food allergens, lifting up to 50 pounds, and constant standing/walking.
- Work in various temperatures and conditions, including wet and dry environments.
- Use of ladders, tools, and equipment required.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and machinery noise.
- Wear appropriate footwear.
