The North West Company Qikiqtarjuaq is hiring a Grocery Clerk for a permanent full-time position in a remote supermarket. Your tasks will include providing excellent customer service, managing stock, and handling cash transactions.

Job description

Grocery Clerk NOC 65102

• Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery
• Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
• Order stock
• Record incoming stock
• Keep stock clean and in order
• Price items using stamp or stickers according to the price list
• Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors)
• Operate cash register
• Order picking
• Provide customer service

Work setting: Rural area, Remote location, Willing to relocate, No fly‑in/fly‑out or rotational arrangements available, Supermarket/grocery store

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Personal Suitability: Interpersonal awareness – the role serves an Indigenous community; candidates must demonstrate cultural awareness, respect, and the ability to work effectively in a community-focused environment.
