Job summary

A community-focused grocery store in Ile-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan is seeking a full-time Grocery Clerk. You will handle purchases, operate the cash register, and provide customer service while demonstrating cultural awareness in an Indigenous community. This permanent position offers a competitive wage of $19 per hour, with additional benefits such as a dental plan and health care. Experience is an asset, but not required. The role requires working on-site with no remote options.

Grocery Clerk NOC 65102

Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery, Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom, Order stock, Record incoming stock, Keep stock clean and in order, Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list, Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors), Operate cash register, Order picking, Provide customer service

Work site environment: First nations settlements

Work setting: Rural area, Remote location, Willing to relocate, No fly-in/fly-out, or rotational arrangements are available, Supermarket/grocery store

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Personal Suitability: Interpersonal awareness-The role serves an Indigenous community; candidates must demonstrate cultural awareness, respect, and the ability to work effectively in a community-focused environment.

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience is an asset

Wage: $19.00 per hour
